Today is a day for rejoicing, because You, God, are near. I give You my thanks because You hear my prayers and petitions. At Your invitation I release every anxiety of my heart into the river of Your mercy. And in that moment You carry my life-draining burdens away. As I linger by Your life-giving waters, which never run dry, You replace my heavy load with Your light heaven-sent peace. This quiet rest of soul I can find nowhere else. So once more I rejoice, and I give thanks to You.
